Overview

The Active Agent demand-side platform (DSP) is the only fully-fledged omnichannel DSP on the German market to offer innovative marketing technology. The integration with Zeotap allows you to send segment data created in Zeotap to your Active Agent instance.

Supported Identifiers

This integration supports MAIDs and ID5s.

Prerequisites

Before pushing the segments to Active Agent, ensure that you have the following details from your Active Agent POC:
  1. Your Adition Network ID.
  2. Username
  3. Password
These credentials are used to generate an Auth Token, which in turn communicates with your Active Agent instance to create Keys and Sub-Keys.

Steps to Get Attribute ID and Key Name

The Attribute ID and Key Name are used to add a Sub-key to a Key in Zeotap. To obtain them:
  • Go to the Audience section in your Active Agent instance. Look for the Key under which you would like to add the sub-key. Once you have it, note down the key’s Key, and ID in the respective column.
  • These details and other fields will be required while attaching a destination to the audience.

Create a Destination for Active Agent

Once you have obtained the prerequisites mentioned in the above section, perform the following steps to create a Destination for Active Agent:
1
Log into the Zeotap CDP App and go to the DESTINATIONS application.
2
Click + Create Destination.
3
Under All Destinations, search for Active Agent.
4
Click Active Agent. A screen appears displaying details about the particular destination towards the left. On the right-hand side of the screen, find a list of fields that are required for the integration to be established. Enter the required details as mentioned in the following steps:a. Enter a name for the Destination.b. Enter the Adition Network ID, Username and Password.
c. Review all the values entered above and then click Next to proceed to mapping.
5
On the Action and Mapping screen, select from Send Identifiers via Key and Sub-Key to Active Agent or Send Identifiers via Sub-key in Active Agent as the action. Then, map the Catalogue and Destination fields accordingly. The following fields need to be mapped:a. Active Agent ID — This can be MAID or Active Agent Cookie.b. External ID — You can send ID5 or any other IDs in this field. Reach out to the Active Agent POC to get a list of all the IDs that are supported by Active Agent.
Note:For the Send Identifiers via Key and Sub-Key to Active Agent action, the key name and sub-key name will be the same. Once you have added the key via Zeotap and wish to send a sub-key into a key, you can use the Send Identifiers via Sub-key in Active Agent action.
6
Once the mapping is complete, click Create Destination. The created Destination gets listed in the Audiences application, which can be linked to an audience (segment).
The details you captured in the above steps will now be used in the activation of the audience. The following audience settings appear when you attach an Active Agent Destination to an audience, as a pop-up:

Attribute IDEnter your attribute ID.

For information about how to link an audience to the created Destination in the Audiences application, refer here.
Note:The terms Audiences and Segments are used interchangeably to refer to customer cohorts belonging to a specific category. For example, an Audience or a segment can be a specific group of customers who are over 18 years of age and have performed an addToCart event within the last 30 days.
