Understand the Advance Fields

Advanced fields are the optional settings you can define on a catalogue field, beyond its name, data type and category. They control how long a value is retained, which fields are kept in step with each other, how many values an identifier stores, where the field may be activated, and whether its values are visible in the interface. Which of them are offered depends on the field’s category. Group Name, TTL, Total Number of IDs and Restrict on Channels appear under Advanced Settings on the field form. Advanced fields

FIELD NAME	ALLOWED VALUES	DESCRIPTION
Time-to-Live (TTL)	Default value is Forever. Allowed values can be 1 to 3650 days.	Controls how long a consent value or an identifier is retained before it is dropped. See Time-to-Live.
Group Name	Default value is the same as the Catalogue Field name. Choose an existing group or create a new group name. Offered for the ID, ID Metadata and ID Consent categories.	Ties related fields together so their values are updated as one set. See Group Name.
No. of ID	Default value is 1 per user. Allowed values can be 1 to 10.	The number of values stored against this identifier attribute for a user. The field form labels this setting Total Number of IDs. Note No. of ID is only available for the ID category.
Restrict on Channels	All the Channels and Destinations available for the account.	Blocks activation of the field on the channels and destinations you select. See Restrict on Channels.
Masking	Optional toggle.	Hides the field’s values in the Zeotap interface. Users with the CDP Admin or Integrations Admin role can reveal masked values in Customer 360.
