What this is

The MoEngage source carries engagement event data from MoEngage into Zeotap CDP, so that what MoEngage records about your customers is unified with the rest of your customer data. For the opposite direction — sending profiles and audiences out of Zeotap CDP to MoEngage — see MoEngage for real-time journeys and MoEngage Audience for audience sync. On the MoEngage side, the feature that exports these events is MoEngage Streams (shown in some MoEngage screens as Events Stream); it streams event data continuously rather than on a schedule. MoEngage sits in the Customer Engagement Channels source category, alongside the other engagement platforms listed under Customer Engagement Channels. The integration has two halves:
  1. In Zeotap CDP, you create the MoEngage source. On creation, Zeotap generates an API URL and a write_key for that source, both shown on its IMPLEMENTATION DETAILS tab.
  2. In MoEngage, that API URL and write key are used to send events to the source you just created.
This page and its child page cover the Zeotap CDP half only. The MoEngage-side configuration — where in MoEngage you enter the API URL and the write key — is not yet documented here. If you need those steps, write to support@zeotap.com.

Prerequisites

  • An active MoEngage account.
  • Access to the Sources application under Integrate in Zeotap CDP.

Create the MoEngage source

Create the source from the Sources application: choose Customer Engagement Channels as the category and Moengage as the data source, give the source a name, and select a Region. Zeotap then issues the API URL and write_key that the MoEngage side of the integration needs. For the full walkthrough with screenshots, see Creating a MoEngage stream.

Verify the source is receiving data

Find the source on the source listing page. A newly created source stays at status Created until it receives anything; once data starts flowing it moves to Integrated, and you can inspect the incoming records on the source’s PREVIEW DATA tab.
