# Before your Begin

Before you start using Zeotap CDP, ensure that you address the following prerequisites and obtain the necessary information outlined in each requirement:

1. **[Discovery](/articles/get-started-guide/discovery)**: Begin by defining your use cases and understanding your customers' requirements. Prioritise use cases and map out data sources, destinations, usage timelines and more.
2. **[Data or Catalogue Definition](/articles/get-started-guide/data-or-catalogue-definition)**: Subsequently, gain an understanding of your customers' data models, fields, data onboarding formats, delta management and more.
3. **[ID Strategy](/articles/get-started-guide/id-strategy-setup)**: During this phase, it is crucial to formulate your strategy for identification management. Determine how you can effectively handle data identification and integration to achieve optimal outcomes with Zeotap CDP.
